Hi I am new to Event Espresso. |
Hi Yardena, We have a few options for PayPal available: PayPal Standard – included in core plugin and allows off-site PayPal payments and credit card payments. PayPal Pro (Website payment pro) – included in the core plugin and allows credit cards on-site. PayPal Payflow Pro – available as an add-on and allows credit cards on-site A PayPal business or premier account will be needed: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/personal_vs_business-outside Yes, you’ll be able to download a list of registrants/attendees for your events. This list could then be opened in a program like Excel, Numbers, Zoho Sheets, or Google Sheets. Automated reminder emails (e.g. email one day before event) will be available later this year as an add-on: https://trello.com/c/idp3dTMa/16-add-on-automated-email-reminders There is a built-in option to manually send out emails to your registrants/attendees. — |

Thanks for all your answers! |
Hi there,
Yes they can, however this depends on a setting within your PayPal account. There is an option within your PayPal account that allows you (the account holder) to set if you require users to have a PayPal account or not.
Yes, PayPal charge transactions fees. All online payment gateways will charge for the payment and a transaction fee, the amount depends on usage and monthly revenue. The fee is lower per transaction the higher your monthly sales volume, to quote PayPal:
I’m in the UK, so the it will likely be different for you. If you google ‘PayPal fees’ you should find a link directly to PayPal that will show you your rates in your local currency. US rates for sales inside the US show:
So if each ticket is $10 and you you sell a single ticket you’ll be charged $0.29 + $0.30 for that transaction. If you sell 5 tickets in a group transaction you’ll be charge $1.45 + $0.30 for that transaction. If you are still unsure on how much you will be charge I would recommend contact PayPal themselves and request the provide you with an estimate based on your sales. Note – the above fees are from PayPal themselves and NOT Event Espresso. With EE you purchase your support license and we do not charge you any additional fees for your events/tickets/etc. |
