I’m trying to figure out if it is at all possible to get Event Espresso to send the event name to paypal. Right now in paypal all that shows up is

Item Title:Event Registrations from I Challenge Diabetes
Invoice ID:365_9iYjE

Thanks,

Hi there,

Which PayPal payment method are you using?

Would using stripe allow me to track the event name that people have paid for if there isn;t a way to get paypal to show me that info.

Hi there,

The latest version of the Payflow gateway (1.0.4.p) has just been pushed live, this version includes the event name within the description by default.

If you do not see the update on your dashboard go to Event Espresso -> General setting and click to save the settings to force a recheck.

Do I have to change anything on my end to make the event name appear on paypal.

No, update to the latest version, create a new registration and pay using PayPal PayFlow.

The order description will now be ‘Event Registrations from {site name} for {event name}’ on any transactions made using the latest version of PayFlow.

Shopping Cart Contents

Qty Item Options Price
1 Individual for Ultimate Amazing Race
Item # 1 $15.00 CAD
Amount $0.00 CAD

perfect, now this might be pushing it but is it possible for the shopping cart to also include the attendee’s name? We host events where parents register their kids so IF that can be possible it would be appreciated it.

If not this helps make life easier so thank you for updating the addon.

I’m not really sure where you want the details to show, do you mean within PayPal?

Maybe add a screenshot that highlights the section you mean (remove and personal info first):

Yes sorry I was referring to details that show up in the shopping cart on paypal.

Hmm, there’s only so much information the payment providers allow you to send over, so adding attendee details may take the description over that value.

The order description is now filtered so it is possible to add additional details in if you are comforatble with PHP, take a look within EE at the FHEE__EE_Gateway___order_description hook.
