Showing an error when signing up for an event where folks can’t pay. We’ve had to take down the events just moments ago because of it.
I’ve already troubleshot this with Stripe, they are pointing to ya’ll. The error states: “Please Choose Payment Option – There has been a critical error” Where you never get passed through to put in your payment information. Yikes!

Hi there,
This is an issue with the version of Stripe SDK we are using within EE3, it is not compatible with PHP8 and will need to be updated.
I’ll create a ticket to investigate this but in the meantime, you’ll need to switch back to PHP7 for it to work, most hosts have an option within your control panel to switch PHP version.

Awesome, thanks for the update.
I’ve created a ticket to investigate updating the Stripe SDK we use in EE3 to prevent this in a future version.
