We are having an issue with people who register for an event and ask for an invoice. If they try to pay that invoice via the invoice link after the event has occurred they receive a message that the event is sold out and their registration has been cancelled and then shows their Status Complete on the backside??? If someone registers for the event we need them to be able to always pay after the event is closed. Sometimes the person who attends the event has someone else register and they choose to pay for the event at a later date online or sometimes send in a check.
I checked and as it stands you can’t have a user pay after the event has finished, I’ve created a ticket to investigate this further with our developers.
However, it sounds like I may be getting different results from the above so if I may clarify some of the above, please?

The message itself states their registration has been cancelled? Or does it show this:
We’re Sorry
It appears that the event you were about to make a payment for has sold out since you first registered. If you have already made a partial payment towards this event, please contact the event administrator for a refund.
Please note that availability can change at any time due to cancellations, so please check back again later if registration for this event(s) is important to you.
If you view the registration in the admin, does it show with a ‘waitlist’ status? Like this – http://take.ms/mUURY
