So it’s the same situation, where the person makes payment and they get a receipt / confirmation but the admin of the store sees the payment in the list as ‘abandoned’
Please can someone help / advise or take a look. The update has not stopped this from happening.
Along with that, you can go to Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Logs, and check the logs for the transactions coming in. There may be some specific error messages in those log entries.
hosting provider is UKWSD and yes we already checked this setting is enabled in the customer pay pal account – I will ask them to re-check but I am sure it is as we checked this before. Again it is unusual as payments went through before and after this one in question but at times they are still getting transactions abandoned, and we were told the expectation was the update would prevent the issue. You can log into your PayPal account and find the transaction in the IPN history.If there was some heavy network traffic happening at the ISP level or if the server was down at the time the IPN was sent, your site wouldn’t have gotten the notification. PayPal actually has a “Resend Selected” button there in the IPN history, so you can resend any payment notifications to your site from PayPal.
