Since my upgrade to 4.4.6 (from 4.4.5) all payments are getting stuck in pending status. Can somebody please take a look at this. I am having to manually approve everyone, defeating the purpose of automated software. This is quite frustrating. Thanks, |
Important to note: most the payments are going through in PayPal, but are just not reflecting so in Event Espresso. I’ve given them 48 hours also to reflect the approved status but they are still pending. |
Hi Stephanie, Can you check in you PayPal account to see if the Instant Payment Notifcation feature is enabled? |
Please also be sure that the transactions page on your website is published and publicly viewable. That’s the page that Event Espresso uses to to capture the payment notification from PayPal.com. |

yes it is enabled |

What do you mean by transactions page? This one? https://www.thecosmicpath.com/registration-checkout/?ee=_register&s2-ssl=yes Need further assistance please. |
Can you go to Event Espresso > General Settings > Critical Pages and where it says Transactions page, does it say Page Status OK and Shortcode OK? If so, can you let us know what the URL is for this page? You can get the URL by clicking the View link, then copying and pasting the URL for the transactions page here. |

it does say status and shortcode ok. here is the URL: |
Hi, could you disable the forcing of SSL on that page? It has this at the end of the URL which is not from Event Espresso: s2-ssl=yes — |
I did that and cleared cookies/cache. Getting the error- No IPN (or incomplete IPN) received. |
Also now is the problem how do I get these checkout pages secure and using an SSL cert? Need the critical pages to be on https. |
Hi Stephanie, When you visit the IPN listener page directly in your browser, it’s not an error when it says “No IPN (or incomplete IPN) received.” That’s because it’s listening for an IPN, and when you visit that page in your browsner, no IPN is being sent at that moment. Are you sure you need the IPN listener page as https? That’s the PayPal IPN listener page and typically no payment information is submitted via the IPN. Can you try deactivating SSL for that one page, then go to your PayPal account and resend the payment notifications? |

Ok- got the issue solved we had server trouble. But I am left to wonder, how do I get an ssl on the registration checkout page? I understand all the other critical pages do not have payment information, but that page does. |
We recommend using the WordPress HTTPs plugin to make the registration checkout page secure. We have a guide on how to set it up here: |
