I have been sending out the pre-installed payment reminder email to those who have registered but haven’t made payment. The link that is generated in the email and on the invoice sends the end user to a link that states the registration is complete. I am using EE3 and Paypal Pro.

What do I need to do to send the user to the page to complete the payment?

Another issue that seems to be related. I have spoken with a few the people with incomplete registrations. Many of them stated that as soon as they entered in their credit card info they would almost immediately recieve our registration successful page. USually there is a few seconds delay for EE to grab an auth/cap from paypal. Paypal is showing nothing was processed.

Hi Dave, are you on the latest version of Event Espresso 3 and is this a new merchant account or have you had it for a while?

Also, are payments through the regular registration checkout flow being processed?

Arrive at single event page –> Complete registration form –> Make a payment

This is the latest version as of Friday. I have been using this merchant account for 3 years (including last year successfully with Event Espresso).

90% of all registrations are processing correctly. As I mentioned above, the ones that don’t process correctly will go through the registration process and through the full card payment process. It will appear to work (however the time between submitting payment and our order acknowledgement page coming up is almost instantaneous). Paypal does not show any attempted charges. I have 6 different types of tickets, the tickets types that have had problems have been successfully purchased by others.

Hello again,

Could you share a link to an event so we can take a look at this issue?

We’ll then register and you can send the pre-approval message so we can go through the payment process.

If you do not want to share this link here in our support forums then please email the link to the email address below and also include a link to this support post.

Thanks!

Hi, could you enable pretty permalinks through WordPress admin –> Settings –> Permalinks?

Select postname as the option and save changes.

Hi Lorenzo,

Sorry for the delay. I went ahead and change the permalinks to postname. I also updated EE to the newest version. I have noticed a few registrations that are not completing (cannot as of yet if they tried to enter a card number). I did sent myself a payment reminder and it took me to the link which states my registration is complete. I also sent it to the email addy you put in, not sure if it was legit or not.

Hi Dave,

Can you edit your /registration-complete/ page and tell me if there is a shortcode in use on that page?

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Registration pages.

Is your thank-you page set to ‘registration complete’?

Hey Lorenzo/Tony,

I enabled permalinks. I forgot to add the shortcode on my thanks you page (It’s not like you don’t remind us to do that 😉 ). When people show up they now see their option to register. As far as my original issue, I will keep an eye on it and see if I see anymore people not processing.

One quick question, is there a way to select certain attendees to email. When I resent the payment email I had to go to each individual attendee and resend.

Thanks for all your help..

Hi,

Not in EE3, it’s either all the attendees in the event or one by one.
