Payment Reminder Email Missing

I’ve just discovered that none of payment reminder emails I thought I’d been sending have actually gone through. The error message reads: “Message failed to generate for the following reasons: Unable to get the Message Templates for the Message being generated. No message template group accessible.”

I’ve been looking at the default and custom message template lists, and neither has a Payment Reminder message type as far as I can see. I also can’t figure out how to create a new one.

This is EE4, WP 4.7.2.

Hi Melissa,

It may have been disabled. You can check through Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Messages –> Settings.

Then look in the far right for the inactive column and drag and drop it to the active column.

It’s already in the active group. Anything else I can try?

Do you have a recipient in the TO line of the message template? If there is not a recipient in the TO line, it won’t send that message because it doesn’t know who to send it to.

My problem is I can’t even find the message template. It’s not in the default templates or custom templates list.

If its activated but not showing up in the template lists go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings.

Drag the Payment Receive message type to be inactive, wait a few seconds then move it back.

Now refresh the default message templates list and check if it shows now, be sure to check box pages of templates.
