Payment pending status

Hi

I have default status set to “Approved”. I noticed that if I start signing up but don’t continue at the payment method page, then there is already an entry with the status “payment pending”.

That’s fine but the problem is that this seems to occupy one seat. Can that be changed?

Hi Arto,

The pending payment registration will ‘reserve’ a place for the duration of the session lifespan (which by default is 1 hour). Once the session has expired the ticket should be released back into the available places for sale.

That’s not something you can turn off and is to prevent overselling events, for example, if two users start a registration at the same time and work through the steps at roughly the same time you could oversell the event, the reservation system prevents that.
