I would like to offer early bird discounts for registration. I see on the right hand side that there is a early registration area. It allows me to put in a dollar amount that would be take off the workshop fee up t a certain date. this is good but when it displays on the site it show as : Price: C$350.00 (including C$50 early discount) I find this confusing… Is there a way to list both prices 350$ Early bird and 400$ Regular? I see that I can add another ticket price but it doesn’t allow you to control the sale of the ticket with a early bird end date. Jen |
Hi Jen, The early bird discount in Event Espresso 3 will apply to all pricing options since it is set on an event-level instead of a pricing-level. Event Espresso 4 lets you set early bird pricing on a ticket basis by scheduling tickets to start and end at a certain time. — |

Ok thanks, I am starting to wonder if i should be using EE4. but on the main event pages that list all events it shows that the price to 400$ .. Is there a way with EE3 to show both the early bird price and the regular in your event list? If not is this possible in the EE4. I have bought the EE3 license and bought the recurring events add-on! Is there any way that I can switch and get the EE4″everything license” if i decide that is what we need? I am just not sure which one is best for us… |
Hi Jen, Yes it is possible to show both pricing options but this will require an edit to one of the template files. Please see these steps: https://eventespresso.com/topic/display-early-bird-pricing-on-event-archive-page/ In Event Espresso 4, an early bird ticket would be created with a regular pricing ticket that starts after the early bird ticket ends. I replied to your email about your support license and I’ll share that information here. We can switch your account to the everything license for Event Espresso 4. However, this will remove Event Espresso 3 from your account. Thanks. — |
