Hello All |
Hi there, May I ask does your Payfort account use “The Fort” API or does it use the “Start” API? The reason I ask is because the Payfort add-on uses the Start API and is not compatible with “The Fort” API. More info here: redacted – Event Espresso support team – LOC |
|
|
Start API is no more used in Payfort |
May I ask is that documented somewhere? The reason I ask is because someone actually sponsored the development of the Payfort gateway and they contracted with Event Espresso to build the gateway to use the Start API. |

Hello Josh, this is PayFort response regarding START API: “It seems that “Event espresso” added on Payfort “Start” system which is not working anymore. Your account is on the “Fort” system and we don’t have an “Event espresso” Plugin. So you are kindly requested to make the integration through our API. Kindly refer to the API Documentation tab in your test account under the integration settings tab it will guide you through the integration process. or click on the following link: https://docs.payfort.com/ Integration Team” |
That’s not entirely correct. While Payfort isn’t offering the START API to new customers, their customers that have been using the START API can continue to use it, and it still works for them. Event Espresso has no plans on building a gateway for the “FORT” API. You can contact a developer like this one and they can build an integration for you. |

his is PayFort response regarding START API to me: |
The last we heard from Payfort support was this:
In any case, Event Espresso has no plans on building a gateway for the “FORT” API. Especially since at any time Payfort could drop support for their other APIs like they did for Start. |
