Hi there, In the Payflow Pro settings, we have the Description as “The NightGlass Group Inc”. But, when people purchase tickets, their credit card statement doesn’t say “The NightGlass Group Inc”. Instead, it randomly changed to say “Matthew Card” or “MATTHEW x1830 GAUS”, and no one knows what that is. I am afraid a major issue is occurring, and our customers are refunding their ticket because they don’t know who “MATTHEW” is. What should I do? Thanks in advance! |

Hi again, I am following up on my support request. Any help is appreciated! |

Hi there,
By this do you mean EVent Espresso -> Payment methods -> PayFlow Pro -> Description? If so, that’s not the description for the payment itself shown on the statement but rather the Payment method on the site. It’s the text displayed in the notice above the payment form, see the yellow box here: https://monosnap.com/file/J00eglOK08yTfkcJILtEsMOpisIO1I As it stands we don’t send a value for the payment method to set the Merchant data used within the user statement and it’s handled through PayPal/processor. Which processor are you using with PayFlow Pro? |

Thank you, Tony This is the text in the yellow box: “The NightGlass Group Inc. will appear on your credit card statement for this charge. Tickets are non-refundable.” Can I find out which processor is being used on the website, or is that on PayPal as well? Thanks again! |

That text has been manually set to show that info by an admin, the default string in that location is just “Please provide the following billing information.”
That will be within your PayPal account. PayFlow is a PayPal integration that allows you to process payments through Paypal but through other merchants, its bacially an integration with PayPal which can be used with other merchants (but also PayPal themselves). As its stands, the info that will appear on the statement is determined by them. It may be possible for us to pass something over on the request to set that info but right now it’s not something Event Espresso does but I’ll double check with our developers to see if I’m missing anything regarding this. |
