Hi Everyone: I had a teacher register herself and 2 friends for an event with an offline payment (PO). All look like separate registrations. Her boss emailed me and asked to pay by Paypal with school credit card. How can I tell her to pay her bill now? When she logs in she gets an error that she the person she is trying to register has already registered. Also, others have registered by PO, but I can’t find the PO number. Where is that located? I need to verify. Bill |
Hi Bill, If you go into the attendee overview, there’s a PDF invoice option where you can generate a PDF invoice. You can send them an email with that PDF invoice. If you go to the add/edit a payment screen there is also a send invoice button there. When they click on the “Pay Online” link in the invoice it will take them to a page where they can click the paypal button and pay online. I checked on the Purchase Order feature and it looks like there is a bug so the PO number doesn’t get recorded. If you can FTP in and edit the /event-espresso/gateways/purchase_order/po_ipn.php you change line 10 to: if (empty($_GET[‘po_number’])) return; If you need help with that, we can FTP in and apply the fix if you send FTP credentials via this form: |

Oh boy. Guys, this is a huge problem because I have 28 teachers and 23 are registered by PO and now I don;t have their PO Numbers which I need to be sure payment is guaranteed and also to send invoices. Payments aren’t processed by school districts without a PO Number. I have no idea how to handle this on my end. It’s time-consuming, embarrassing and my new company will lose credibility with these districts if I email them and tell them that I lost their PO Numbers. Are you sure the PO numbers were not recorded anywhere? I will try and edit the pHp now. You’re killing me guys, Bill |
Hi Bill, I am truly sorry for the trouble. The fix for the Purchase Order is in Event Espresso 3.1.36.3 and we recommend updating. One idea that I have to help with getting the PO number from the registrants is to add a PO number field to the registration form via a question/question group. Then you can send out an email and ask the registrants to verify their registration details. If you place the [edit_attendee_link] shortcode within the email message and send it via the Event Espresso admin it will have a link that will take them to a page where they can review their registration details and enter the PO number. |

Alright, you guys are great and shit happens. That’s a good idea. But I have one more question. When someone snail mails me a PO where do I enter it? I can;t seem to find the field in the payment details. Bill |

Hi Bill, I followed up with the other thread you have on this. Just enter the PO number as ‘P.O.-‘ followed by the number as the ‘Transaction Type’ in the payment details. |
It normally gets recorded to the Transaction Type field. |
