Great directions on issuing refunds in EE4 (see below) – do they also apply if were using authorize.net as our payment gateway? Also can we itial partial refunds thru this process?
Refunds through Event Espresso 4 are a two-step process.
Part 1 – apply refund in Event Espresso’s transactions details screen
First, login to your WordPress dashboard. Then go to Event Espresso –> Transactions.
Now you’ll need to find the Transactions in the list. Then click on the ID or the date for the transaction and this will take you to the transaction details screen.
Scroll down to the payment details area and you should see the payment. Now click on the Apply Refund button in the bottom right corner of the payment details area. Then enter any information related to the payment and save changes to update this transaction.
Part 2 – Complete the refund in your PayPal.com account
The last step is to login to your account on PayPal.com and then complete the refund
Event Espresso transactions can be set to refund, but this will not issue the refund through your payment gateway, this will need to be done manually.
The steps to issue refunds on Event Espresso itself are the same for all payment methods.
However to issue a refund through your payment gateway (in this case Authorize.net) you will then also need to login to merchant account and issue the refund there.
