I can see the issue with not having individual children being “registered” in the sense that they would have to put down an email. I’d like to have a parent (first, last, and email) and at least one child. I’d then like to be able to add one or more children. Each one increasing the count of attendees to up the total of tickets to be sold… I can’t seem to sort it out – I keep getting a new parent as well as the child group of questions.
Firstly, you’ll need to use Event Espresso 4 to accomplish this because EE4 doesn’t require that an additional attendee fill out an email address.
Here are the steps to set this up:
1) Go to Event Espresso > Registration Form > Questions and change the labels for First Name and Last Name to Parent First name and Parent Last Name.
2) Create two new questions:
a) Child name
b) Additional child name
3) You edit the Personal Information group, and assign the Child Name question by checking the box next to the question name.
4) You create a new question group, name it something like “Additional Child Info”, then you assign the Additional child name question to that group.
5) Then in the event, you go to the box that says Questions for Additional Registrants, and you check the box next to Additional Child Info. Then you update the event.
Here’s a demo event that shows a registration form that was set up following the above steps:
