About 3 weeks ago we added the Multiple Event Registration add-on to our site (which uses EE3), and since then have had some issues that don’t seem like they would be related to that add-on, but I mention it because it is all that has changed.

The site uses Paypal to accept Payments.

Sometimes, but not always, when someone registers and makes a successful payment with Paypal, the registration goes through but in the back end it shows the payment status as Incomplete.

In addition, sometimes, but not always, someone registers and makes a successful payment in Paypal, but the registration itself does not go through either — in the back end that Attendee is not listed, a spot has not been reserved for the event, and no registration email is sent out.

I have been looking and looking to try to find some pattern to it at all. Most of the time, it is working fine. The ones that are failing to show the correct payment status or no registration at all are for a variety of different kinds of events, no pattern.

I would assume it has something to do with Paypal getting the info back to the site, but again, it is usually working. Successful registrations have come in before, between, and after the unsuccessful ones, including for the same events and on the same day where the issues occurred.
