I’m getting page not found errors when clicking on “Register” in the rollover text popup on the calendar. I can save the permalinks setting and it will work. Briefly. Then back to the error.

Hi Amiee,

Has the site recently been moved? Say from dev to live?

If you go to Wp-admin -> Settings. What is in ‘WordPress Address (URL)’ & ‘Site Address (URL)’?

It was moved from one server to another. But it is a brand new Event Espresso install on the new server only.

WordPress Address (URL) http://www.theshootersdepot.com
Site Address (URL) http://www.theshootersdepot.com

The site seems to be working now but with permalinks turned off.

The issue you were having is not caused by Event Espresso but rather moving the site.

If you enable permalinks now does it work?

What do you mean with permalinks “turned off.” ?

They are on the default setting.

And It isn’t working at the moment.

I’ve changed the permailinks to a custom format and saved it. It seems to be working correctly for now.

The default setting for permalinks effectively turns them off.

Permalinks basically change the URL from example.com/?page_id=6201 to example.com/event-registration/ they are the same page just the link is ‘pretty’.

The default setting is to use the /?page_id=6201 which basically means they are turned off.

Can you go to Event Espresso -> System status. Look for ‘Registration Pages’ and check they are all green (possibly paste them here)

It looks as the the ‘Main Registration Page’ (Event Espresso -> General Settings) is not set to the page containing the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode.

Rather than passing back and forth with multiple questions, would it be possible for you to send log in details so I can take a look?

There’s strange things going on with WP pages.

If so please use https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Hi,

All of the core Event Espresso pages are set to drafts. (Event Registration, Registration Cancelled, Thank You & Transactions pages)

These need to published publicly in order for EE to work correctly, publishing those pages will likely fix the issue you are having.
