After publishing an event and clicking the permalink in the event, I get a “page cannot be found” error. I have gone to settings, permalinks, changed the type to plain and it works fine. Then when I change it back to “Post Name”, the error returns. What do I need to do?
I ran the requirements check plugin and it returned “Your server supports the minimum requirements but may experience some difficulties with all features”
Well it did say “but may experience some difficulties with all features” so there’s that.
The other thing you can check is, you go to Event Espresso > Events > Templates and change the event slug setting to something like upcoming-events
or something else if you already have an upcoming-events page. Anything unique will do so long as it’s not events or event.
OK, I figured out the issue. I had a calendar event plugin installed that was using the slug “events”. So, I changed the slug for the calendar and now espresso is working.
