Posting here since on 9/2 your contact form submission is not working! After submitting question, the page does not process/show as submitted only a red circle keeps spinning. Tried 3 browsers and same problem. Beyond frustrating!

We currenty run EventEspresso 3, and need the option of seeing the Combined data set collected by users for one custom question asked in registration. I viewed this page

https://eventespresso.com/features/own-your-data/

and the plans. Please let us know, 1)would it be $80 additional to upgrade to 4 and necessary just to access the feature of exporting answers? 2)Or is the feature $80 in addition to whatever cost of upgrading to 4? 3) It does not appear the function is available with 3. Please advise.

Hello,

Thanks for the heads up about the contact page. That has been resolved.

On your question, are you wanting to export a guest list including information collected?

If so, you can go to the Event Espresso events overview screen and then look towards the right area of the screen for the Attendees column. Click on that and you’ll see guests for a specific event. You can then click on the export to Excel button at the end of the page: https://cl.ly/2h3m3O0Y1I2t

An export will then be generated and you’ll be able to be able to view information for each guest.

Your support license does include access to Event Espresso 4 which also has a reporting option for getting a guest list. There isn’t an additional cost to upgrade. However, there are some differences in the platforms so we do recommend taking a look at this guide:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-upgrade-event-espresso/#migrate-to-event-espresso-4

Please note that certain features like recurring events and price modifiers that change the registration pricing are not yet available in Event Espresso 4.

To clarify – need the option of seeing the Combined data set collected by ALL users (customers) for ALL 20+ events – and only pertaining to a custom question asked in registration forms that each customer fills out. That is it for now. We do not want to see info by user, rather the Combined for all users by event, or in total.
I am hoping this is available on 3 without additional fee? And/or you noted “Your support license does include access to Event Espresso 4 which also has a reporting option..” Now, would that entail changing/upgrading our actual website to 4, in order to access reporting functions on 4? If so, we are not in a position to do so now, and would need a ‘work around’. Do you have an email if further ?s are required? Thank you.

Hi there,

You can get a report of all users from all events by going to your website’s dashboard page: Event Espresso > Event Overview. Then you click:
Export All Attendee Data.

The report will include all fields from all attendees from all events, and you can use a spreadsheet application to remove any unneeded columns.

If you have further questions you can add replies to this topic. We are here to help.

thanks josh, it worked – horray. now, what I want to know is the ‘own your data’ is that avail. with version 3? also would having that paid feature allow charts to be quickly created based on custom questions that registrants fill out?

‘Own your data’ refers to the fact that your site stores all of the information, meaning you control the data on your site and it’s part of the feature your using above.

EE3 includes custom questions within the export so you can pull the values from there, or is there something I’m missing with what you are looking for?
