Override expire tickets when manually entering registration?

We are using EE4 and set up our events to have a standard registration ticket and a ticket that includes a late fee for lat minute registrants.

Sometimes we have a need to add a registration manually, either someone we have been working with or a facility will send a check to cover several of their employees. What often happens id that the “standard” ticket has expired so the only open option is the ticket with the additional fee.

So far my process has been to edit the event to extend the “standard” ticket dates and enter the registrations, then edit the event again to close the “standard” ticket. This opens up the registration during this time to anyone who technically should be charged the late fee.

Is there a way for someone in the backend of the site with the appropriate rights to add the attendee in EE4 without having to modify the ticket time, to functionally register someone with a ticket that shows expired? It happens to us fairly frequently and I don’t like having to reopen the expired ticket, leaving it open to anyone who just happens to stumble upon it while I am working with a customer.

Thanks,
CZ

Hi Chris, the same information is used on the front end (public area) as the WP dashboard (back end).

Changing the status to draft will allow registrations via the WP dashboard:
