Hi, Just bought and installed EE4 with a view to changing over from a lesser program but already found issues. In the Organisation tab I can enter all the clients address detailks except the county which only has 2 options, USA or Canada, but I am in UK!! How do I change this? WordPress Version: Regards, Barry |
Hi Barry, You can enable and disable countries through the Countries tab in Event Espresso’s General Settings. Please see this page for more steps on how to do that: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-countries-used-event-espresso/ — |

Hi, Yes done that, changed Country to United Kingdon and courses have £ etc, but Organisation still only shows me USA and Canade. I also only get those options on the course Venues. Regards, Barry |
Hi Barry, thanks for the feedback. The countries dropdown in the Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Your organization page should have all countries. The other dropdowns such as in the venue address through the venue editor and front end registration form depend on the countries that are enabled through the Countries tab. It sounds like the issue is on the Your organization settings page. Were there any errors when you uploaded and activated Event Espresso? — |

Hi Lorenzo, I didn’t have any issues installing the plugin, I think I have figured the Country and States now, didn’t realize I had to set up my states. I have found another issue though with the Venues. Regards, Barry |
Hi Barry, I’ve never seen that error before but I can try to duplicate the issue on a test site so we can get this working for you. Did it appear right after adding some new provinces/states? — |

Hi Lorenzo, This error occurred right after I added my first event, the screen went to what I showed in the screengrab. I was able to add a new venue but that again went to the error screen after submitting. I hope you can help fix this as I’m kinda stuck right now. Regards, Barry |
Hi, I’m having some trouble duplicating this error. Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue? Please share that temporary login through the secure link below: To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting. The submit button for the form appears after you have answered “Yes” to the last question. Thank you. — |

Hi Lorenzo, I tried sending you a reply to our private coversation but not heard anything back so assuming you didn’t get it. There was a plugin conflict with a plugin called RokSprocket. Is it possible to find a fix for this as I really need to keep RokSprocket as it is an integral part of the theme? Regards, Barry |
|
Hi, We generally don’t do fixes for individual plugins unless it is a heavily used plugin. That being said, if you can provide more information about the conflict we may be able to resolve it, it just depends on what the issue actually is. “it is an integral part of the theme” As in a required plugin for the theme to function? |
|
Hi Dean, I don’t know what the conflict is, I’m not a developer just a lowly web designer 🙂 The RokSprocket plugin isn’t required for the theme to actually work but is being used quite heavily throughout the site to create effects thats I’d not enjoy having to replace! Regards, Barry |
|
Hi, I logged in via the credentials you sent Lorenzo. The RokSprocket plugin has an error (not a conflict, an actual error) in its JavaScript that it is loading directly into the page. I think it is trying to use a JavaScript call of addEvent in a jQuery wrapper which I do not believe you can do (basically I think it is doing it wrong). Whether I am right or wrong, the issue lies in a code error in the plugin. I would advise you to: a) update the plugin to the latest version Error screenshot http://take.ms/XQdip |

Hi Dean, Thats a great spot! I have updated the plugin but still have the issue so will now go to the plugin author to see if they can fix it, but could you tell me what file you found the error in please. Regards, Barry |
|
Hi Barry, Unfortunately I can’t. It looks like a function is inserting it directly into the page rather than being loaded in a separate JavaScript file. I would send them that link to the screenshot, they should be able to do a file search to find the appropriate code. |
