I’m setting up my first event which is a camp for youth. I need to collect the first name and last name for the camper, but the email address for the parent. I want the registration form to look like this:
First Name
Last Name
Camper Gender
Camper Birthdate
…etc…
Parent Name
Email
Phone
…etc…
The problem is that Name and Email are both required in the Personal Information group.
Yes, I could add the other fields into the Personal Information group, but then I can’t use Event Espresso for concurrent events (non-camp events would be asking everything listed above since Personal Information is required).
Yes, I could change the label of ’email’ to ‘Parent Email’, but again I can’t use EE for other events.
The minimum information that Event Espresso needs for a registrant/attendee is a first name and an email address.
By registrant/attendee, I mean a record that will be created and shown in your registrations overview screen in Event Espresso –> Registrations.
You could create a custom question group for the first set of questions which would be custom questions.
Then move that above the personal question group by using the drag and drop on the questions group screen.
Then the parents will appear as the registrant with the children information as custom questions.
