Order remained incomplete but client got charged.

A gal showed up for the Bra Pattern & Construction class tonight that we had canceled. Our event page showed her registration as incomplete. We didn’t get a note about her registration in our e-mail. We didn’t know to add her to the roster. She didn’t get a note from us saying the class had been canceled.

How did this happen?

Could you share feedback on how the event was cancelled?

For example, did you expire the pricing option and then update the event to cancelled?

Hi Shelly,

Our event page showed her registration as incomplete.

I’m assuming the registration had a status of ‘Pending Payment’, is that correct?

If you take a look within the transaction for her registration you should see a payment, does that come up as an approved payment or pending? ( If unsure, the payment itself will have a status bar, what colour is it?)

It looks like your site is using PayPal Standard for payments, I’d recommend switching to the PayPal Express payment method, it uses the same PayPal account type but works differently that PayPal Standard (no IPN’s are used) and is considered more reliable.
