I’ve read a number of threads on donations but can’t find a solution to our simple need, although I understood an option was in the pipeline.
Simply put, we would like users buying a ticket to be able to make an optional donation of an amount of their choosing.
How can we accommodate this please?

Hi Steve, that isn’t available at this time.
However, you can create a donations in fixed amounts by creating additional ticket options through the ticket editor.

Thanks, although your suggestion is rather limiting.
I’ve seen this mentioned a few times. Perhaps it should go on the wishlist if not already there

So here is the problem I found whilst testing. I have an entry ticket and an extra donation ticket. With a test purchase, I purchased 2 entry tickets and 1 donation ticket. The system now thinks I have 3 attendees when in fact I only have 2.
How do I overcome this please?

You do this instead:
You make a A) entry only ticket and you make a B) entry + suggested donation ticket. The B ticket is also good for access to the event, but includes a donation amount in the price.

I am in the process of implementing this myself. I think my solution is going to be to add Donation buttons to the Shopping Cart modal that will add the donation to the cart.
