Hi Guys, I want to allow a person registering for an event, to be able to select a number of additional lunch tickets, for family and friends. What is the best way to do this in EE4. I did check out the ticket option modifier, but selecting surcharge adds the additions without giving the customer the option. I don’t really need the contact information for the lunch ticketed attendees. Thanks |
Hi Stuart, I think that adding additional ticket options would be the best way to do this. You could set the main ticket to required, that requires them to purchase the main ticket in order to purchase the additional meal tickets. |

Hi Jonathan, What am I doing wrong here? Am I the only person that needs to offer additional optional tickets to an event, or is this a normal requirement for most events? Thanks |
Hey Stuart, No, you aren’t the only person that offers additional ticket options. Are you adding the additional tickets to to that same event? Also make sure your start and end dates are correct. |

Ok, originally I had a dual pricing strategy for tickets. An incentive to buy early, then one week before the event the ticket prices increase, to do this I added a separate ticket. On the lunch ticket, only had a single pricing strategy, so the lunch tickets were for a different time range than the original incentive based ticket. Not sure if there is a better way to provide incentive ticket pricing, unless there is a way to add either a ticket surcharge, or ticket discount with start or expiry dates? On checking the price modifier, it does not look like the start or finish times are settable. This might be a good option in the future for ticket prices. It’s not uncommon, to provide discounted tickets for early bird registration. I changed the duration of the lunch ticket to the same as the early bird ticket pricing, and this allowed the ticket to become visible as part of the same transaction which is good. However, as its not possible to set a different set of registration requirements, it asks for the same question groups for the lunch tickets as the full registration. It is possible to use the checkbox to fill these fields, which basically means the data is worthless, but would prefer say just a name for each lunch ticket, or no information required at all. I’m I doing this the best way for the moment? |
Hi, I think you need conditional questions based on the ticket option. That isn’t currently available as questions groups (set of questions) are enabled or disable on a per-event basis. — |
