Where would I find how to do this? Template or write a function and what hook is needed to do it.

Hi there,
There’s more than one location that shows the Invoice or Receipt link (order confirmation) and the template/hook used to alter them will be different depending on the location.
I’m guessing you want to change this on the thank you page?

Ok, so the ‘View Invoice’ link shown by the Invoice payment method should already open in a new window, that is this link – https://monosnap.com/file/Vlnpj3QHKJyyL2Wsg7SP6zY33aySXD
The ‘View Full Order Confirmation Receipt’ button does not open in a new window.
To force that button to open a new window you can use something like this:
