One Email per registration event. Custom Member Id registration only.

Hi,

I tried reading all the posting related to registration form, but couldn’t find any topics related to the following two requirements.

1. How do i limit one email registration per event?
2. Where do I check if a user has enter the correct member Id to register for the event. I have another database with a list of member Id only those member with the Ids can registered the following event. I have also added a member Id in the question list for the registration.

Where should I start to write a custom code for the above requirement? Under webhook?

Hi Hong Pang,

So you only want a user to be able to register once onto any given event? You can limit Event Espresso to only allow a single ticket per registration, but that does not prevent the user making multiple registrations, to do that would require custom development.

I would looke into the ‘FHEE__EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information___process_registrations__pre_registration_process’ filter which passess multiple variables you can use to pull in the information, check if the member ID matches a value in your database and then allow/prevent the registration from that.

Note we can not provide support for custom development.

We also have the EE4 Members Add-on which allows you to set events to be members only (meaning users must log in before registering) and you can also set tickets to only be available if the user has a specific capability which may work for your requirements if you database of users is simply users within your WordPress site which you can assign capabilities to?
