Hi guys – quick question. I have an event where the registration is on another site. So on the event page I hid the ticket select and put in the URL in the box requesting it. It works great and is fine. My question is (I am using table view) on the event archive page instead of saying register the clickable link says event details. The link redirects to the other website. This is the only clickable link in the event details in table view. So the visitor doesn’t get to the single event page itself to read the details and see the button to get the registration site. Is there a way to send them to the single event page where they can then register on the other website?

Thats it! Thanks!

Matt

Hi Matt,

Yes. In this case you would remove the URL from the Alternative Registration Page field. If you haven’t already done so, you’ll set “Display Ticket Selector” to No.

What that will do is allow the user to navigate to the event page and read the details and use any provided navigation to the other website.

thanks Josh – one follow up. On the event page itself doesn’t the button to Register and the note that says registrations for this event are processed off site – pull from that URL on the Alternative Registration Page?

I would like to obviously keep that area if possible. Thanks!

Yes it does, and the URL set there also switches the link within the events table.

So your options are:

1) Make a copy and edit the template from the Events Table template so it will no longer use the alternative registration page URL

or

2) Provide a register button within the content of the Single event page by adding the following to the Event’s description field:

<a class="button" href="https://othersiteurl.com/">Register Here</a>
