I’ve just noticed a few things working on a large project and thought I’d post them to see if these are known issues.
Always receive a:
“This content is currently locked. If you take over, cathy will be blocked from continuing to edit.”
– We’ve tested this, and they are not editing the page as it says. Client will not feel uncomfortable with this warning. Pretty sure if anyone is in any event whatsoever, it throws this warning, not just that particular event.
When viewing categories, you see the number of events categorized under the Events admin column. But when you click on that number, it will list all events, not just the ones that are categorized from that category. This is a different result than from the native WordPress post post type.
Lastly, A desired feature would be a bulk edit that allows you to assign categories to events vs just a bulk edit to move to trash or export.
Thanks for reporting. There are a few tickets that are assigned to a developer to work through the issues with the category to events link and the post lock feature. When those are fixed and included in a release I’ll be sure to update this thread.
Re: the bulk edit feature. We are discussing the idea of moving the Events and Venues item out into the main WP admin menu. Among other things like allow some interoperability with other WP plugins, adding a bulk edit event feature similar to the core WP bulk edit post feature might be possible to add.
Here’s another little update: The post lock editor issue is fixed. The fix is included in Event Espresso 4.6.15.p, which is available to download now.
