I sold about 300 tickets, and I get an occasional Payment Pending so the customer doesn’t receive the email ticket. Even though Event Expresso shows the Authorize.net transaction was approved. I am alerted to this when the customer emails that they didn’t receive their tickets. I hit resend and its resolved.
What prevents these occasional orders from being marked Approved?
If this happens only occasionally then it’s probably the user has an older browser that’s not supported by Authorize.net Accept. Here’s a link to their list of supported browsers & versions:
In this case it may help to add a note to the ticket page or elsewhere on the site that recommends using a newer browser. You could also install this plugin which will detect the browser and notify the user to update their browser if it’s an older browser.
Thanks. I don’t want to implement something that may inhibit the user’s motivation to purchase a ticket. Is there a way to send me a special Alert Email when a registration is marked Pending Payment?
There actually isn’t because in this case, the registration starts out as Pending payment (at the moment the registration session is started) and there’s a failure to update the status to Approved. The Registration Pending Payment notifications only get sent if there was an offline payment method selected (like pay by invoice).
