The number of tickets sold for an event is showing one more than there actually are. The event is sold out at 80 but there are actually 79 tickets sold. This Screenshot shows the problem. One ticket is showing 53 sold, but only 52 are actually sold. I’ve had to go over all transactions and compare them in detail with PayPal to verify the numbers.
Are the ticket sold quantities calculated dynamically or are they a running total? A running total might be a problem if a transaction was counted that didn’t go through. Also, notice the locked ticket in the screenshot. This ticket was mis-priced but a test transaction was attempted on it so it became locked and can’t be deleted. Could this ticket be the extra one?
My solution will be to add an extra ticket but that doesn’t solve the root of the problem. I’m worried it could happen again. It’s a lot of work to verify discrepancies like this.
A registration is recorded once Event Espresso has information for a registrant. If they pay, then they are counted under the sold column.
Could you try the following?
Go to Event Espresso –> Events. Then click on this event. Now look in the top right area of the event editor and you’ll see the Update event widget which looks like this:
Click on approved registrations. On the next page, you’ll see a list of registrations. Go to Screen Options in the top right area of the screen and click on it. Raise the number to 100 and click Apply.
You should now see a list of approved registrations for this event.
Could you check to see if there is a registrant there that should not be there?
