[ESPRESSO_EVENTS] in EE4 lists 10 events. Is there any way to increase this number? The modifier limit=”nn” does not seem to work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ty H.

Hi,

The shortcode [ESPRESSO_EVENTS limit=”20″] or [ESPRESSO_EVENTS limit=20] should work, and did so on my test site.

You can also increase the number by changing the “Blog pages show at most” setting found at Settings > Reading.

Dean:

Thanks for the quick response. I tried both the short code and the WP setting. I still only get 10 events when I list them using the short code.

Here is the URL: http://dominicanretreat.org/new/event-listing/

Any other thoughts?

Ty H.

Hi Ty H,

I think this also relates your your other thread here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-event-listing/

When testing the limit option and the General Settings -> Template settings (the other thread) on test sites they all worked as expected, but are obviously not working for yourself.

So I’m wondering, are you running any caching plugins or does your host run caching on the server? (you may need to contact your host if you are unsure)

Have you created a child theme using the EE template files?

Tony:

I have a child theme for Divi, however, the only file in the child theme folder is a footer.php file.

EE4 seems to be working very well. It has all the features I need. However, the event listing stops at 10 and the event listing prints part of the description, even though it is after the <!–more–>.

These problems are probably related. The WP system defaults seem to be controlling regardless of the settings in EE4.

Still looking for solution!

Thanks.

Ty H.

Hi Ty,

I see that it works on the main events page.

Does your theme have any settings for how archives are displayed?
