A few days ago, Event Registration e-mails from last year were being sent out to our customers as well as us in batches of 25. I turned off notifications but 25 more were sent out last night. Customers are receiving e-mails stating “Hello name: Here’s a copy of your registration details!” and it’s annoying them. Please help!
Can you see these messages listed as queued for sending in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity?
Do you need to keep the previous messages in Event Espresso? (I’m asking as one option is to wipe the messages tables to hopefully prevent any more sending, although it does depend on ‘why’ those messages are being sent if this will work).
There were 198 queued and I was able to delete them all. I just don’t know how they got in there but thanks for your help. I know where to check often.
Unfortunately, I don’t know how they got there or where they have come from as much as I’d love to be able to tell you.
Was it literally every previous email that you had saved within the message activity table then requeued for resending?
