Nothing in your Event Queue error on Version 4.8.13.p, no caching

We’re getting the Nothing in your Event Queue error on version 4.8.13.p on https://www.zanderperioperativeeducation.com. It appears to be happening mainly on mobile Safari browsers. In other words, I usually get no error through desktop browsers, but iPhones and iPads are throwing an error consistently when you choose a number of tickets and click the register button.
We’re not running any caching plugins, and the server is not running caching either. I’ve also tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating, as well as checking for a .maintenance file and checking the _esp_line_item table. All looks good.

Hi Chris,

Who is your hosting provider? Did you previously experience this issue (e.g. last week on an older version)?

We’re on Amazon EC2 running Apache and using RDS for the database. We were not experiencing this on the older version.

We’re getting the error on Chrome for iOS as well.

Looks like a http and https mismatch, which will cause issues like this one with one browser and not another. This happens when the registration page is https, but the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php call is http. The issue can be resolved by forcing the WP admin to be https.

It looks like that’s the case–I disabled the WordPress HTTPS (SSL) plugin and it started working. Forcing admin now!
