Hi, We are getting random errors when choosing the amount of tickets and clicking Register Now. The site loads a page with the following message: “Nothing in your Event Queue I cannot get it to display this on Chrome, but it happens almost every time on Firefox and Edge. I’ve search the topics, and can see it’s sometime related to caching software. We use a cache plugin that our hosts supply, it cannot be permanently disabled, but I can allow url exceptions. The trouble is the event urls are always different. Even when I temporarily disabled the plugin I still received the error message. Can you help? Thanks. |
Hi, You could check with your host to see if they have object caching activated via something other than the caching plugin. If object caching is activated, it will need to be deactivated.
It’s no trouble, you simple set cache exclusions for /registration-checkout/ and /thank-you/ |

Hi Josh, Thanks for the reply. I’ve been in contact with our hosts. They have temporarily disabled their caching system, which would be the only thing causing any object caching. I’ve tried it again on a clean version of Firefox and Edge and I still get the same error message. I’ve also tried it with the caching on and the exclusions set, but still no joy. Is there anything else we can try as this is stopping people buying tickets to our events currently. Thanks. |
Hi there, Not really, the nothing in your event queue error is almost exclusively caused by caching. You can try temporarily disabling all plugins and switching to a default theme (you can do that in troubleshooting mode in Tools -> Site Health -> Troubleshooting -> Enable Troubleshooting mode) then enabled only Event Espresso and retest, although its rare this would be caused by a plugin conflict (unless you have a plugin specifically to disable transients). To explain, EE uses transients to save the users session, object caching (in short) stops transients saving to the database which prevents EE from functioning. You can confirm this by using the Transient Manager plugin and going to Tools -> Transients. Search for |

Hi Tony, thanks for explaining a bit more. I’ve passed this on to our hosts and see what they say. I also tried troubleshoot mode and deactivating all plugins and switching to the 2019 theme, but as expected the error was still happening. Thanks. |
You might also check in the /wp-content/ directory of your WordPress installation (you can use FTP to check there) and look for a file that’s named object-cache.php. If you find a file with that name there, you could either rename it or delete it. |
