Hi, I get the error ‘Nothing in your event queue’, when trying to register for a new event, after migrating to Event Espresso 4. My link is: http://ørc.dk/event-registration/ I have no caching plugin at all. Thank you!
|
Hi Alexander, The event registration page is now used for registration checkout. Your events listing page will be: example.com/events/ This is because the events page above is now using a custom post type. You may want to move the shortcode from event-registration to a new WordPress page called registration-checkout. Then update these settings in your Critical Pages area of your WordPress dashboard. — |

Hi, I have done this now, but the error is still there. Also, i can see the /events page, but there is no registration link or button. |
Hi, The slug says event-registration but does not work the same way as it did in Event Espresso 3. It is not a “event listing page” anymore. It now handles registration checkout. Did you create a new page and move the shortcode? — |

Hi, I moved the shortcode to this page and changed it in critical pages: http://ørc.dk/registration-checkout/ What is now the url to my registration page? The error is still there. |
Hi Alexander, lets try this in steps. 1) Go to this page and remove any Event Espresso shortcodes and save changes: http://xn--rc-kka.dk/event-registration/ 2) Search for “Espresso” in WordPress pages. There should be 4 results if you are using only Event Espresso. http://cl.ly/image/3p1a0Z073G2d If there are extra results, please remove the duplicates. The event listing page for Event Espresso 4 is now: example.com/events/ This uses the settings for your theme archive display settings. Does your theme have any settings to adjust how archive pages are displayed? — |

Hi, All this is now done, but still an error. I don’t believe my theme adjusts archive settings. |

Hi, I went back to Event Espresso 3, works much better for me. Thank you! |
Hi Alex, Thank you for letting us know. I manage to take a look at your site before the switch and notice the theme was doing strange things with the archive and single event output. If you would like to switch to EE4 I would recommend doing so on a development server before live, that way you can work through the issues mentioned there and once up and running, transfer to the live site. Having said that if EE3 suits your needs currently there is no reason not to use it. |

Hi, Event Espresso 3 is perfect – i just figured 4 would have some exciting features. However – i do have a small handful of customizations, that i would love to have done – is that something you could help with? |
Generally we do not take on customisations but if you are confident with PHP/HTML/CSS we can guide you through some and provide details (this depends on the customisations, altering text and (re)moving some elements etc) Ultimately if you need in-depth customizations you would be best contacting a developer, we have a few recommended developers available here: |

Hi Alexander, Since these are in-depth customizations, we can recommend contacting one of the recommended developers here to inquire for an estimate to make your specified customizations: |
