Hi there, we have created a new website that also uses Event Espresso but for some reason we are experiencing problems when visitors try and order tickets. The user can select the number of tickets they want but once they hit the register now button, the process stops working as the following message appears. Nothing in your Event Queue You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process. It is only a problem since we changed the permalink from plain. If I revert back it will work properly again but I don’t want the WordPress site to display in this format. Also when you go into an Event Espresso page in the backend, I get this warning message too at the top of the screen: A potential issue has been detected with one or more of your Event Espresso pages. Go to Event Espresso Critical Pages Settings to view your Event Espresso pages. Any ideas what is wrong? |

Hi there, Generally the above is due to caching, I can see your running caching on the site currently but it should be excluding the EE pages from page caching already (there is other types of caching that will also cause the same issue). Do you get the same problem when you test purchasing tickets while logged into the site? |
Hi there yes I get the same problem if I try purchasing while logged in. I have also just tried disabling the caching plugin and hasn’t fixed the issue? |
One of the issues is the form where you select tickets is trying to post to, the page returns a 404. Can you try going to WP > Settings > Permalinks? That will flush the rewrite rules. If the above does not help things, then you can try setting the Event Slug option in Event Espresso > Events > Templates to something different like |
Hi Josh, yes I had done the first suggestion you recommended before, and could get it if I used the plain setting like: /?p=123 but obviously I don’t want individual pages displaying like that. I have now tried your second suggestion using It was previously setup as /events/ which it didn’t work for. |
I also still have that warning message – Event Espresso – Events A potential issue has been detected with one or more of your Event Espresso pages. Go to Event Espresso Critical Pages Settings to view your Event Espresso pages. |
You can go to Event Espresso > General Settings > Critical Page Settings and save the settings page there. At that point the error should go away if all of the settings are correct on that page. |
Tried that Josh and the error message is still appearing? Thanks Rob |
Hi Rob, Did you click on the Dismiss link? |
No, can do that, but thought that would just hide the problem. |
It will come back again if there’s a problem later. |
