Hi there

Running latest version of EE on WordPress 4.6. Latest version of EE app for iOS. Using basic auth (can’t get app password plugin to work at the mo)and logged in with a site admin account for testing.

I’m seeing two things

1) not all attendees are listed in the app – only a selection. Even when set to all

2) totals for date times are off – seemed to happen after a ticket price change (tickets were archived)

Any ideas for debugging? Any other thoughts?

Hi Steve,

That’s a known issue for the apps and should be fixed by the next time the apps are updated. The issue is they’re only querying registrations from non-archived tickets.

Phew.

What’s the ETA on that Josh? Our event is in two weeks so we don’t have long.

I don’t have an ETA.

That’s a worry – we need to mobile check people in at our event.

So how will we check people in? Is it possible to replicate the functionality via the REST API? I might have to code our own then.

We can send you an invite to test the next version of the apps in the meantime. Should we send the invite to the email address that’s on file with your account here on ee.com?

Also, are you only using iOS or do you also have Android devices that you plan on using?

Hi Josh

Can you send to joe@pc-arena.net please.

Will it be possible for all our staff to use them? We will several people who cover our front desk to have access ideally…

Thanks

The invite has been sent. You can install the TestFlight app on any supported iOS devices to test the beta version of the iOS app. There are some compatibility notes here:

Hi Josh,

I’ve not received the invite yet. Is it possible for you to manually email the redemption code? I’ve checked spam etc.

Also am I able to share this code across more than one device?

At the moment I’m attempting to code an absoluteJS Webapp basic version of your app as a backup. Do you know if your dev have any code patterns in JS in your GitHub somewhere I would be able to look at to help me along with the API integration?

I’ll let Seth know that you didn’t get the invite. Is the email address you gave us associated with an Apple ID?

There are no code patterns in JS, but you’ll be able to test the beta version of the apps (that have the fix you’re looking for) on more than one device so long as the email address is associated with an Apple ID.

Hi Josh
Yes it is – if he wants to email me a redemption code separately I can try that route.

So I think what you are saying is that I can login on multiple iOS devices and have more than one person checking in?

Also – does the android app suffer from the same issue?

They’ve actually submitted the new versions to the App store and the Play store. So as of right now, the new version Android app is available, and that new version has the corrections for the registrations query. The iOS app’s new version release is pending app store review.

Hi Josh,

This is great news. We will get hold of some cheap android tablets as backup, and hope the app store gods for iOS get on with it.

Hi Josh,

Just an FYI we are seeing distinctly different functionality across the tablet vs phone versions of your app. The tablet version is missing the text underneath the check in is missing – this made it very hard for our event staff to use (we had to buy android tablets as iOS app update wasn’t available) as it wasn’t obvious they hadn’t paid etc.

It should be obvious if they didn’t pay. May I ask which tablet you were using (Device model, OS version, app version?)

Acer Iconia One 7 Inch 16GB Tablet (latest android app version, I’ll level with you and say I don’t have the android version as I don’t have one of the tablets infront of me)

The updated iPhone app and the Android phone app has the booking status (accepted, cancelled, payment pending etc) underneath the cost, but this was missing on the tablet version… I’ll have to try the EE4 app on iPad and let you know if its missing there too.

It shows the status on the Android tablet I use for testing. (nvidea shield)
