Hi All, I found a topic which cover this problem – https://eventespresso.com/topic/not-receiving-admin-email-notifications/. I have tried all the suggestions and I am still having a problem. I dont think its an issue on the mail server or been black listed as If I test a registration, I receive the user registration confirmation email. Dill |
Hi Amy, Can you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Email Setting. What is the setting ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’ currently set to please? |
its set to yes |
Hi, I suspect this is due to the modifications made within this thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/skip-payment-options-page/ Can you temporarily comment out the code used to close the session added to payment_page.php or rename the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates folder to ‘templates-temp’ to disable all modification’s then re-run a registration please? If you then receive the Admin confirmation the session is being closed too early. |

Hi Tony, I have had this problem since first installing EE, before any modifications has been made. I will try this and see if it works. Thanks for the help. |
Hmm, in that case that’s likely not the cause. Two more options to check please. Within Event Espresso -> General Settings. Under Organisation Setting. Primary Contact Email. Is the correct email within that field? Check for any white space before/after also. Then if you edit the Event itself, look in the event options you’ll find ‘Alternate Email Address (optional)’ check no email is input and there is no white space within that field also. You could also install a plugin such as Email Log to see if the email is being sent. |

Hi Tony, I have reverted all modifications that I have made i.e. removed the skip Thank you page. I am still not receiving admin emails. I installed the addon you suggested, and it seems the email is been sent. See screen shot of email log. http://awesomescreenshot.com/0902i9jw8c This is doing my nut…. |
something I did notice is that I change the alternative email address on the event page, yet the email log still shows the original email address as set up under general settings. |
ok the plot thickens. I change the admin email confirmation address to my personal address and I receive the admin emails. So this must mean it is something on my mail server? Weird thing is we use google for business and the address we use for the admin email is set up for that domain. Any ideas? |

ok happy to close this, the host from address is been marked as spam. Will try the WP mail addon. |
Hi Amy, I’m glad you found the cause. I would recommend using Mandrill, its free up to 12k emails per month. Its very easy to setup and allows for detailed reporting on the emails sent. If you choose to use this service, use the wpMandrill plugin to connect your Mandrill account (after signing up of course) and that’s pretty much it. |
Thanks Tony, will give that a try. The SMTP plugin won’t work as I think the host has blocked port 465 or don’t allow fopen(). I hope mandrill doesn’t require this. Thanks again |
No Problem 🙂 Fingers crossed wpMandrill works ok (I think it should) |

I couldn’t get mandrill to work, received the following message when i tried to send a test email: Test executed: 0 emails sent, 0 emails queued and 0 emails rejected Anyway, I installed WP-Mail-SMTP and that seems to work like a charm. Thanks once again, you guys rock. |
