Hi, my site is http://events.trifecta.com.sg/ It is currently locked & the details are as follows: Once the user registers for the event & pays via Paypal: 2. Event though the payment has been processed (There is an email notification from Paypal), the section that the user returns to that says “Transaction Details” Total Cost: $0.10 (SGD) 3. When you click “View Full Order Confirmation Receipt”, there is this error message on the top : Warning: getimagesize(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /nfs/c05/h04/mnt/71848/domains/events.trifecta.com.sg/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-pr/core/libraries/shortcodes/EE_Transaction_Shortcodes.lib.php on line 300 Warning: getimagesize(http://events.trifecta.com.sg/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/logo.jpg): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /nfs/c05/h04/mnt/71848/domains/events.trifecta.com.sg/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-pr/core/libraries/shortcodes/EE_Transaction_Shortcodes.lib.php on line 300 Really hope someone can help me! Hi Grace, These forums are public, I have removed your auth login details but I would recommend changing them to keep the private.
This means that auto return has not been enabled within your PayPal account. Is this a PayPal sandbox account or live? If live can you follow the steps here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/paypal-standard-payment-gateway/#setup Specifically the steps to ‘Enable PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN)’ and ‘Enable PayPal Auto Return’.
Have IPN’s been enabled on that account? (See above) If you view the transaction within the Admin, can you see a payment for PayPal within that? You can view the transactions from Event Espresso -> Transactions and finding it manually, or go to Event Espresso -> Registrations, find your Registration there and click to edit, you will see a ‘View transaction’ button within that page. 3. Both these errors:
Indicate that allow_url_fopen has been disabled on your server. allow_url_fopen is used within DOMPDF which is library Event Espresso uses to generate the PDF’s, that function will need to be enabled on your server in order for the library to work. I would recommend contacting your host to have them enabled it for you. |

Thank you for this! |

:/ I just spoke to my hosting provider, Mediatemple, & they forwarded me to this link : http://mediatemple.net/community/products/grid/204643900/why-is-allow_url_fopen-disabled-on-the-grid It sounds really scary & unsafe to carry out this allow url thing. Do you have any directions or suggestions for this? |
Hi Grace, When your host disables allow_url_fopen, then you will not be able to use the feature that displays a logo on the receipt and invoices. Instead, you’ll need to remove the images, and use text instead to display the company name. |
