I keep getting this error message on the EE payment method settings screen for QuickBooks: “NOT CONNECTED TO QUICKBOOKS ! This payment method requires an Authentication.”

Hi Steve,

Which version number of Event Espresso and the Quickbooks payment method are you running?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Payment methods -> Quickbooks.

Have you provided the requested details and clicked the ‘Connect’ button?

Hi Steve,

We received your request for priority support. I logged into your website and took a look at the Quickbooks settings. Can you log into your account at Intuit and check to see whether your Production keys are oAuth 1.0 or 2.0? If they are 1.0 the production keys will include an app token and look like this:

Otherwise your app uses oAuth 2.0. If your app uses oAuth 2.0 you’ll need to switch the OAuth version option on your Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Quickbooks settings page. You will also need to input your website’s URL into the Redirect URI field of your Intuit account’s Keys page. Production URIs must use https. This means that if your account uses oAuth2.0 you’ll need to get an SSL certificate for your website.
