Hello, I got all the nice design done everything srems configured and then I decide to test what happens when I get to the end of my available tickets for people. I’m on EE4 4.2.28.

I have hosting options available as camping spots and rooms. I have 5 tickets total available for exemple, I have one remaining and I cannot sell it, I get this error :
” We’re sorry, but there are only 4 available spaces left for thi event at this particular date and time. Please selct a diferent number (or different combination) of tickets. TCKSLC-DTCKSLC-ADDTICTOCAR-677 ”

Now it’s not the most obvious problems, meaning I have tickets remaining to my limit available, I have unlimited tickets available for these datetimes, and unlimited for the event proper.

The only thing I could think of is there were other events with tickets sold with these general names, said they would stil lbe available. I have since permanently trashed both events and registrations, b ut beside it, I have no idea what it could be.

The events are at: http://healingorchestra.org/events/camping-spaces/
and : http://healingorchestra.org/events/rooms/

thanks if you get any idea, the site is going to go live in the next two days..!

P.S. Exemple for these events I have a omewhat complicated structure but it was how I could figure to do it. Exemple I have 5 rooms, with 2 places each, for 5 nights, meaning I have 5 datetimes, and five tickets for the rooms + 5 tickets for the additionnal persons, and 5 tickets for waiting lists. I have one tickets available each for these 10, and still I get the error. Same in the camping.

Hi,

I looked at some of the tickets and some have 4 remaining and some have 2 remaining:

Double-check the quantity that is set for each ticket option through the event editor.

hello, thanks for looking at it– but if I’m trying to buy one of each tickets of these, exemple for 5 nights [Β 5 X 1 ticket ] I am not able, I get the error I told you about. You can try to register by the way, I’ll earse the, all, if you manage πŸ™‚

[ and it’s ok if there are 2 and 4 remaining, it’S bcause they can have up to 2 additional persons by camping space, so 5 spaces = 5 tickets for the first night, + 2 additions = 10 tickets for the same night ]

When I try to register it only shows the available quantities and does not show that error.

Could you go to this page and try again?

http://healingorchestra.org/cancel-return-page/

If it happens, please let us know which ticket option to select.

ok : go here : http://healingorchestra.org/events/rooms/

the error for this one says that there are only one space available, though the first 10 tickets have 1 tickets available each. The waiting lists are unlimited.

Trying to book only one ticket will work, I’ll get to where to enter personal infos.

Trying to get more than one ticket [ exemple one person for 6 nights room + same for couple, so 10 tickets ] will not work. 6 tickets at 1 each will not work either..

So somewhere it thinks there is only one left, though there is one left but for each tickets, and no limits in datetime or event.

Go and try to complete the whole process, with one of your support email for exemple, it is with a modified check gateway for cash so you’ll be good πŸ™‚

thanks !

[ later on ] Well, that’s interesting, I have 6 tickets sold on the first one there ( http://healingorchestra.org/events/rooms/ with a number available of -1..

So. Any ideas.. ? I can give you admin account if you want to explore πŸ™‚ If I try to buy more tickets [ 1 of each for 3 nights, stil lavailable ] I get the same error.

Thanks !

[ oh and no traces of these registrations that got me to -1 available, so overbooked, nowhere ]

oh wow, interesting bug, but ouch it get my registration process fragile :

if people get one available ticket [ because with that first error 677 I have just one available ], if they get to the personal ingo page [ registration checkout ] and go back on their broswer, it blocks the ticket from being sold out but there are absolutely no traces nowhere of these tickets sold…

πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

This website is going live wednesday at 21h00 easter time, I hope to get it fixed before. (maybe by putting in place a button that will get them back instead of using back button in Chrome) Thanks !

[ ok, does not work — people WILL go on the page, look at the tickets, and then get back, either by the menu or by using back button in vrowser — I ” sold out ” 6 tickets like that, though there are NO reservations.. ouch ]

Hi Sebastien,

Can you tell me what you currently have set for the Default Registration Status?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Edit the event in question. In the event options on the right you’ll find this – http://take.ms/7d898

Is that currently set to Approved?

yes, it is set to Approved. I just bought a support token, trying to fill in the document right now πŸ™‚

If you try setting the default status to Pending Payment and update the event do you encounter the same issue?

Sebastien Matte

I do not get the ‘ auto sold-out ‘ pattern as it does not register a tiket sold, but I am still not able to register more than one ticket total for my 3 kinds available left, still have the same error, on both http://healingorchestra.org/events/rooms/ and http://healingorchestra.org/events/camping-spaces/ . On this one I have about 30 left but still not able to book more than 4.

So.. I could use this workaround of ‘pending’ , even though I was proud of geting more simpler than the whole multi-user process of EE3, but that bug with the tickets is still complicating my whole deal–

[ do you believe it is because of these ghost transactions already registered ? it does not make real sense, seems more linked to the datetimes with the error code info.. So that if I clear al lregistrations it would work, or would I have to recreate the whole events, etc. thanks ]

The ‘ghost’ registrations are not the cause but they do highlight the issue further in this case.

Unfortunately clearing the events registration’s will not remove the ‘ghost’ registrations in this case.

Are all of the registrations on the event test registrations or are some actual ‘customer’ registrations?
