I know we’ve been communicating via email for this but just wanted to update this thread with the info provided for future readers.
We can investigate the export function working once the site has been updated to run the latest version, with EE3 all of the data is pulled within a single query and it may be too much for the server to handle currently.
Whilst not really a fix for your current issue, using the export/import functions within Event Espresso 3 to move all of the data from one site to another (even live to staging) isn’t really the right method to use for this.
As your copying all of the data to what is basically a copy of the live site, it is much better to export the EE3 tables (all use {db_prefix}_events_ in the database) from the live site and then import them into the dev/staging site (dropping any of the current EE3 tables if they are already there in the process).
