The Social Coupons Add-on allows you to allocated single use discount codes that discount 100% of the registration price for all tickets within that registration.
EE3 has a Promo code feature which will allow you to apply a specific discount to each ticket within the registration. These can be percentage or value discounts.
EE4 currently does not support the use of Promo codes.
When you say one registration, does that mean if I have multiple registrations, the discount will be applied to all events or can it be separated out, so that if someone books into two separate events, they can apply the promo code to one event but not the other?
You can select the promo codes that apply to individual events, or create ‘Global’ promo codes that apply to all events that accept promo codes.
If using Multi Event Registration (MER) and you add 2 events to the cart, but only 1 event accepts a specific Promo code then the promo code will be applied to registrations for that event, not the other.
So event 1 costs $50, event 2 costs $50. Event 1 accepts a non global promo code of $10.
If you select 1 ticket for each event then you apply that at the cart, the Total would be $90 (as the code applied to only a single event)
If you select 2 tickets for each event, the Total would be $180 (4 x $50, 2 x $10 discounts)
Does that help?
