I’ve created an event in EE4 but when I click from the website to register there is no registration form to complete and no payment option to choose

Hi Jennifer, could you provide a link to any event on your site?

Also, there is an option in the event editor in your WP dashboard to turn off the ticket selector. Could you confirm that option has not been enabled?

I did have the ticket selector set to no. I’ve changed it to Yes and it is still not working. Here is the link to the post I created as a test to setting up a new event. http://cslreno.org/test/
Thank you

Hi Jennifer, here is what the option looks like in the ticket selector:

What happens when you create a new event with a short description and click on publish? Do you then see the ticket selector?

Thank you, Lorenzo. That issue is resolved.
Now, when I press on the Proceed to Payment Options I am getting this error message:
An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – process_reg_step – 602

Hello again Jennifer, I did not see that message when I started a registration. However, there may be a caching solution running on your site as I am seeing this message in your page source:

If above timestamp is not current time, this page is cached. >

Could you let us know who your web host is?

Thanks

Lorenzo

To clarify, I receive the error message after I have completed the registration form and go to the payment page. Our web host is Network Solutions

Hi Jennifer, could you re-test this with only Event Espresso running?

We would like to rule out a conflict with another plugin.

Also, were you previously using a caching solution like WP Super Cache or W3 total cache? You could check your list of plugins to see if this is an issue.

Hello again Jennifer, did you reverse your changes by reactivating your plugins a few at a time to find the conflicting plugin?

Or do you make a different change (e.g. to a caching plugin) to resolve this?

Thanks again

Lorenzo

I didn’t make any changes, I just went in to register and it worked. I was not able to complete payment because of an issue with the merchant configuration. I will work on that later today.

Alright, please let us know once you are able to test again.

Did you need help troubleshooting the payment gateway issue?

I was unable to process payment. I received a message that said “invalid merchant configuration”

When I tried it in debug mode I received this message: “Invalid response returned from server while attempting to process your request.”
I would appreciate your help in troubleshooting this.

Hi Jennifer,

It turns out that the “Invalid Merchant Configuration” error is specific to the PayPal Pro gateway and occurs when the seller account hasn’t agreed to the billing agreement or the billing agreement is disabled.

You can contact PayPal support and ask them to help you get that billing agreement active.

Here’s the information from the PayPal documentation:

10500
Invalid Configuration
This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
Occurs when you have not agreed to the billing agreement.

10501
Invalid Configuration
This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
Occurs when the billing agreement is disabled or inactive.
