Hi, When I try to click “Download PDF” I only get a HTML file displayed which looks like my start page but rendered totally weird. Any help will be great. |
Hi Mike, In the past, we’ve had reports of issues with the PDF’s when using a PNG for the logo. I downloaded your logo file from the Invoice and tested it on one my installs (worked fine) but in the past, it has worked for me but not on the site I downloaded the PNG from. Can you test temporarily setting the logo to another image? You can do that in: Event Espresso -> Payment methods -> Invoice -> Logo Image Set the logo to use a JPG image and see if the download still fails then. |

Hi Tony, no, it is not working. Sorry. I have tested it. |
Hmm, ok, can I take a look at the message system in the admin to see if anything stands out? If so you can send temp login details using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ At a guess, either something isn’t right with the message system or something is blocking the request (could be a mod_sec rule your host has or some security plugin). |

Hi Tony, Thank you for your help. I think there is no Security Plugin Installed for now. Host can be an issue of course. But I can change the settings from the host if you tell me what I have to change. I will send the login information to you. |
Looks like you didn’t change the setting I mentioned before in the Invoice settings. The Invoice/Receipt logo was still using a PNG with a transparent background, that’s what is what was causing the PDF’s to fail. You changed the ‘Company Logo’ setting in Event Espresso -> General Settings to a .jpg You needed to change the ‘Logo Image’ field in Event Espresso -> Payment methods -> Invoice. That overrides the General Settings option specifically for Invoices and Receipts. I know you did not have that payment method activated, but I have just activated it and set it so it does not show on the front end using the ‘Usable from’ setting in the payment method. It can now be deactivated again if you prefer but you PDF’s are now working 🙂 |

Hi Tony… oooohhhhh.. That was really my mistake. Sorry. I did not use Invoice so this was not the part I was looking for. Sorry. But, there is another issue with the “order confirmation” Example: and click “download PDF” It is not working. 2. Second Sorry for all the issues. I hope this is my last one 😉 Mike |
The order confirmation is the receipt in EE and that looks like a different issue. If you check the servers error logs are there any recent errors from Event Espresso?
The logo image used on the Invoice and Receipt? They both use the ‘Logo Image’ field I mentioned earlier. The Invoice payment method has the setting for it: Event Espresso -> Payment methods -> Invoice -> Logo Image |
