No events are population the select new event area (2)

I have WordPress 4.6 and Event Espresso – 4.9.16.p. I can’t get the select new event drop down box to show any of my events.

Please advise.

Hi Shon,

This may be a conflict with another plugin on your site.

Could you try temporarily deactivating other plugins on your site and leave Event Espresso 4 along with its add-ons running and then re-test?

If it works, then reactivate a couple plugins at a time and continue to re-test until you pinpoint the source of the conflict.

Hi Lorenzo,
I have deactivated all the plugins in the system and no luck I still have nothing in the drop down. Can you recommend an debugger that might tell me where to look for the issue?

Hi Shon,

Firebug is a great debugger. Can you check with the theme switched to the default WordPress theme? There’s a great plugin that lets you switch the theme only for the admin: Theme test drive plugin.

I am having the same issue (the “Select New Event” list doesn’t list any events).

We are looking into possible plugin conflicts, but Shon, if you end up solving the issue, could you share your findings?

You can also check the JavaScript console for errors.

Hi everyone, we got this fixed today so I wanted to share our findings. It looks like the iThemes security plugin was the culprit on the site we were working on. There are some settings under “System tweaks” in that plugin that were interferring. After some adjustments, the event list starting populating as expected.

HI All,
I have tried all the above but still the same issue. When I use firebug in debugger mode I get no errors just an empty list. Any suggestions.

Hi Shon,

Are you sure that your site have WordPress 4.6? The reason I ask is because I checked the site that’s using your account’s support key and it says it has WordPress 4.3.6.
