No Dashboard Icon, "You do not have access to this route.", Payment Options

After installing Event Espresso, I’ve been running into a number of issues. Webhosting is done on WPEngine, if that’s relevant.

1) No icons appear on the Dashboard after Event Espresso is installed.

2) Unable to set up payment. No options exist when clicking on the Settings option in installed plugins. The option to set up payment appeared after a reinstall, just once, on the splash page that appears immediately after a fresh install. However, upon clicking on that link, I received the “You do not have access to this route.” error.

3) I’ve tried going into the backend via SFTP and checking for duplicate templates, as suggested. I saw no such duplicates.

4) Uninstalled Event Espresso, deactivated all plugins, reinstalled Event Espresso, same issues continued.

Other plugins that were installed at the time (before step 4):
– Akismet Anti-Spam
– Fusion Builder
– Fusion Core
– Jetpack by WordPress.com
– Metronet Tag Manager
– OptinMonster API
– Slider Revolution
– WPForms Lite

Hi FunBotLab,

Can you try going to this URL while logged in as admin on your site:

yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_maintenance_settings&action=data_reset

You’ll change “yoursite.com” to be your site’s URL in the above and that should open a page where you can click the button to reset the capabilities.
