We have an event page that is open to the public to register for the event. We have the WP Users add on installed, and in the User Integration settings for the event, we have ‘Auto create users with registrations’ set to No. With these settings, a user is still created on our site that just has the email address they enter during registration – no name or other information is set for the user. How do I stop the user being created on the site?
If I set Auto create user to Yes – it creates a user with name and email, but our site is not free access so I don’t want to create a user.
It won’t be Event Espresso creating those users if you have the above setting set to No.
I can see on your site you have LearnDash, so I’m assuming you also have the Event Espresso Learndash Integration add-on they created? That add-on creates users for all registrations regardless of the above setting.
If you temporarily disable that add-on and test another registration, does it still create users?
