Hi Daniel,

Thank you for posting this, we have already removed Google+ from the dfault email templates in Event Espresso 4 in version 4.9.80 – April 29th 2019 (Change log) and any new installs should no longer have that section within the template.

However, if you installed Event Espresso before that date your default templates would have been copied to the database and saved (thats how we can allow customizable templates) and we do not touch current templates for many reasons.

If you have not customized the templates at all you can edit the message type and click the ‘Reset Templates’ button, that will regenerate the templates based on EE current template files.

Note – when you reset templates on any message type, it resets all of the ‘contexts’ for that message type. So for example if you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates -> Registration Approve -> Edit Event Admin and click Reset Templates it would set the ‘Event Admin’, ‘Primary Registrant’ and ‘Registrant’ templates for ‘Registration Approved’ back to default.

If you have customized the templates yourself, you’ll need to edit each on individually.

The new version of the Upcoming Event Notification plugin already has those removed. Thanks for taking the time to let us know.
